Owner

Elaine is the owner of the nursery and ensures the smooth running of the setting. She maintains the quality of practice within the setting and the environment, she has seen the nursery transformed from the shell of a building into the successful caring environment it is now. 

Within the 11 years we have been open Happy Hands has been transformed in many ways.

Qualifications: 

BA Hons. Early Childhood studies (Level 6)

Early Years professional status.

Co-Owner 

Alan is the co-owner of the nursery and monitors the day-to-day running of the nursery and takes responsibilty for matters such as building maintenance and security. 

Director 

Jon works very closely with the general manager and oversees the financies and ensures the nursery remains solvent. 

He also helps out with general maintenance.

Company secertary 

Kim is the company secertary and is responsible for all the financial transactions of the nursery.

Qualifications:

Level 3 in childcare

Level 4 Business Admin

Manager &

Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)

Jade has the overall responsibility of all staff within the nursery. She reports to the four Directors of the business.

Jade ensures that the children are receiving the highest standard of care and Education.

Qualifications:

Level 6 in Early Childhood Studies 

BA Honours in Early childhood studies

Deputy Manager  & Designated safeguarding lead (DSL)

Taylor is supernumerant however, she works is all rooms when required.

Ensuring the activities are suitable for the age-range and holds their interest of the children. 

As deputy manager she supports the manager & Curriculum manager and steps up and takes over the role when necessary. 

Qualifications: 

Level 3 in Childcare (EYE)

Working towards her Level 5

Curriculum Manager 

Mira is supernumerant however, she works in all rooms to ensure the curriculum and planning is to the high standard that the company demand. 

Mira supports the staff within the nursery making sure that the staff understand the need for planning and exuring the activites are of a high standard. 

Mira reports to the Deputy Manager.

Qualification: 

Level 3 in Childcare (EYE) 

Working towards her Level 5

Early Years Practitioner

Kaya is based in the Toddler room where he is the room leader. 

The team works well together ensuring the room is set up and welcoming for all children ensuring positive experiences and that they maintain a stimulating, friendly environment.

Kaya is extremely approachable and supports his staff in a considerate professional manner. 

Kaya has just recently qualified as a forest school leader and the children enjoy doing these activities with him. 

Qualifications:

Level 3 in Childcare (EYE)

Natasha is the Room leader in pre-school.

She is responsible for the care, education and the environment in the room ensuring the Curriculum is followed, enabling the children to become independent learners.

She enthusiastically supports her staff enabling them to support the children in their final year of nursery is enjoyable and successful. 

Qualifications: Level 6 in Early Childhood studies.

Working towards her BA Honours. 

Lead SENCo

Jess works in all rooms and work closely with all the room leaders. 

As the SENCo she supports children with additional needs, and also helps staff to ensure these children benefit from their time at nursery.

Jess will report to the manager and deputy manager.

Early years practitioner.

Tia is the senior practitioner in the Baby room. Tia is responsible for the Care, Education and the Environment in the room ensuring they are of a high standard. The team works well together making sure that the room is set up and welcoming for all children to have positive experiences. 

She work closely with the staff in the Walkers & Talkers to ensure the children are ready to move on.

Qualifications: 

Level 3 in childcare. (EYE)

Early years practitioner

Katy is the senior practitioner based in the Rising 3's room.  

Katy ensures there is a range of activities which follow the children's interest. She will also support other staff within her room to get the children ready for the next stage of their development. The team works well together ensuring the room is set up and welcoming for all children to have positive experiences.

Katy works closely with the deputy manager & curriculum manager.

Early Years Practitioner

Aimee is based in the Pre-school room where she works closely with the room leader. 

Aimee works well with the practitioner ensuring the room is set up and welcoming for all children to have positive experiences. She makes sure they are ready for their next step in their nursery journey. Aimee and the team support the children in their final year of nursery is ensuring it is enjoyable and successful. 

Aimee reports to the Room leader.

Qualifications: 

Level 3 in childcare. (EYE)

Early years practitioner based in Pre-school.

Ellie works closely with the Room leader. 

She ensures there is a range of activities which follow the children's interest. She also supports the other team members within the room to ensure the children are school ready.

The team works well together ensuring the room is set up and welcoming for the children so that they have a positive experience.

Ellie will work closely with the room leader and steps up when necessary and supports staff.

Qualifications: 

Level 2 (EYE)

Working towrds her Level 3

Early years practitioner & EAL support. 

Kerry supports children with speech and language. She will do activities to help and support children to move forward with their development. 

She will support staff within the rooms to help them set up and support the children.

Apprentice in Toddler room. 

Jamelia works closely with the Room leader. 

She ensures there is a range of activities which follow the children's interest.

The team works well together ensuring the room is set up and welcoming for the children so that they have a positive experience.

Jamelia will work closely with the room leader and steps up when necessary and supports staff.

Qualifications: Level 2 (EYE)

Nursery Ancillary

Paula's role in the setting is to provide the children with a variety of delicious and well balanced snacks and meals as well as supporting the staff in the rooms at meal times and snack time. 

She ensures the kitchen meets the standards required by the food hygiene agency, this is apparent as she holds their level 5 rating.
